One:
Like white blood it streams
From my ears
An apple is bit
A journey begins
Walking my path
The pendulum swings
A subtle smile
As certain as history
Time and tale define
To death time and tale
As pendulums swing
My mind fed sweeter sounds
Soft like sobbing and too like joy
As I walk my path
I was vulnerable before
Still not sure if all is folly
I have learnt
I man feels like a useless toy
Not one done with but one still being played
Two:
Like the pendulum swinging
The dance between us
To know our truth
Only if I believed and in what who knows
Not wanting to step into that world out there
Not ever without some control over what it says
I lose my way when I change my ways
When everything must change (sung)
Embracing comforting lies
I’m a fool boy, a fool
Time is real but not a constant
A wicked smile it swings
If nature is mother
Then she came first
Then man made time
Father Time and Mother Nature
Dance as the seasons change
And I plod through nature
Tell 'em that its human nature (sung)
Three:
At my expense it all seems
Writing about it for you
All emotions felt
All that I’ve learned
Like words I wonder saying what of their lives
I lucky to be alive to one day write a long poem
When I learn to walk away and come back
When I learn to forget you
So I stream to my mind
Drowning my head
And God would never say ok! you have suffered enough
I learn my errors in shame
The subtle smile of the pendulum
There as a matter of course
The course it takes forms a smile
No matter what time it is
This day I could have
Tonight I should have
Life has choices
We work towards better always
Four:
And they comin and they comin and they comin (sung)
The music plays in more ways than one
Maybe it is where I am
We are not alone
Me and my headphones
I have memories too as company
So much to be thankful for and yet
Not life it sometimes seems
Maybe it’s the I being playful
Playing with serious things
Like a child, like life, like emotions,
Like money, like love even
Justifying my life
Or is it for you to justify my life
My choices
My fault I guess
For writing before reading
Loving before knowing
I'm doing as I like and it hurts
Five:
White smoke billows
My dark frame an industrial tower
I draw through my mouth
And with words now
Conclusions no closer
Opinions cloud my mind
I’ve looked at life
From both sides now (sung)
Smoke and mirrors marring truths
Resistance is old
And too determination to do as we like
Many times it has crossed my mind
As the match strikes and the Sulphur burns
I think of where it came from
And where we're going
Ploughing now plodding
Every action sows a seed
That grows I unawares
The swinging pendulum smiles
Six:
White smoke leaves my mouth
I draw on my inner resource to resist the temptation sometimes
Through chastity, frugality and silence I plod
My discipline and tolerance shine
Through drawn curtains I peer at a world
White smoke from my mouth
Seeping only some of what I take in
Seems we live with friction
One man’s truth another’s fiction
One does not make a nation
Not one a nation make
Compelled to love an error
And not for loving's sake
Giving being judged
And too when I take
Seven:
I trod a sod forever turned
Each new step on the old
I plod through a litany
Of murder, corruption, wars
To countermelodies
Sexy like Soca and
Humorous derision like Calypso
A beer in one had and a moon over my back
I ask why a national hangs
When we lime best
This stream adds to my worth
Ignorance my comfort and my curse
I sing my blues and dance my troubles away
All for naught it seems
Another season lies ahead
And too something beautiful
I forget in the moment
I plod towards a place that will hopefully be satisfying

On a Gamble
Gambling, taking a chance
Wanting to win
The five percenter
Odds in your favour
You’re a champion
At least you took a chance
Id say its vicey
But that might be dicey
On a game on a table
In the ring or the stable
All day dad was at the pool
Spending all the money
On an English mule
Nah not a mule
A philly she was
A pure breed number
The thoroughbred her cuz
The trainer was famous
For taking the derby
More times than any other
The trifector and furlongs
The sport of kings
Now spawned a habit
For many things
Rigging and fixing
The players now win
You might get an answer
If you ask Sachin
Not that he was one
But now that its over
They again play for fun
A big ring was broken
After germany
It was all over Asia
And on the net globally
World cup business
Is big stuff you know
The bookie, the punter
All on show
I bet im almost done
And if I sell this trash
For a dollar or more
It wasn’t for fun
But to make my funds sure
Wanting to win
The five percenter
Odds in your favour
You’re a champion

To Hell With It
Maybe I'll go to hell
For the parts I choose to sell
No different than the whore
Giving it up for an open door
Selling my time and thought
By those of whom I speak bought
Even if it is by the people
Its the same as going cheap
If not himself then he has not
Hustling talents but aint no slut
But if it were something else sold
It could manifest as diamonds in gold
I,I who have no choice but to work
Selling my time and thought not a clerk
A waiter once before served many a bore
They gelled so well their banter now a snore
Consistent and sure it did blow
Through dinner, months, tears and snow
To hell with the price he got twice
What they said he deserved
Not writer is he without a fee
Just a man who said to hell with it, he'll blog
For the parts I choose to sell
No different than the whore
Giving it up for an open door
Selling my time and thought

word play (working title)
the world is full of beauty
making it beauty full
its the only way to see it
beauty lies next to me
and the ugly that I am can see that
in my self
born innocent but grown into
something else
something I see as beautiful
beauty lies
in the eye of the beholder lies beauty
in the mind of the beholder lies too
a habit of playing with
words and beauty
making beautiful images
that lose their innocence
next to me
in the eye of the beholder
the world is full of beauty
I see a beauty full world
truth is beauty lies
in the eye of the beholder
it sometimes lies on the horizon
so unreachable its ugly
just words though just words
a reminder that beauty lies
in the eye of the beholder
making it beauty full
its the only way to see it
beauty lies next to me
and the ugly that I am can see that
in my self
born innocent but grown into

Rhygin Plays Two
Rhygin went down in a blaze of glory
Hero, bandit grandson and more
He lives on today not just on screen
But in the hearts of many a teen
To do good he wanted
The system was flawed
But no one remembers
To this day I wonder
What would have been his future
If country him did stay
And not go look im mooma
Turn singer and dem tings
And then sharp shooter
Just like the one im see pon di screen
When he im self just a teen
Where the story start
It never did finish
After bus ride with chicken and goods
He switched mountain and bush
For zinc and hood
The radio did play him song one day
What a joyful sound
Fi dat boy mi say
No part of this earth ever his
An island the scene of his demise
Him granny did love him
Him mooma him miss
Dreams and ambition
And paths gone wrong
Have today’s Rhygin
With the same song
Strong him strong
But gone him gone
The police and the label dem did won
He lives on, in my mind too
A hero a bandit one and two
Hero, bandit grandson and more
He lives on today not just on screen

Picture
If I had a zoom
Id focus on art
That would be me
Following my heart
And this is just the start
Of what I have to say
If we ever got on our way
The picture that I capture
Would hold us together
And I will always keep it
Hold on to it forever
Keep it close to me
Let go of it never
So beautiful for me
I could never abuse
One as innocent as you
And all I can hope
Is that you feel the same way too
Not wanting it to die
But wanting it to be true
So picture this
The two of us captured through a lens
That never knew
The pleasure of you
But with my picture
and a little more
We’d always be two
Id focus on art
That would be me
Following my heart
And this is just the start
Of what I have to say
If we ever got on our way
The picture that I capture
Would hold us together

Untitled
Ah hear a pan woman say
She want a man she could treat like she pan
As she beat him he hold on to the rack
And doh beat she back
Just like she pan
And then she say
She want a man she could play like she pan
Sometimes sweet sometimes with one hand
And the more she play him
He not going to play she back
Cause he here to stay
Just like she pan
She say then he must be hard like iron
And shining like the one
She did win Panorama with
She say she want him bad like a long time band
When it come to town who doh know dem scared
And by who known revered
She say she want him soft like a musician
And when the world gone mad and all else fail
she could pick him up and make notes sail
Notes to remind she that music is food
And a full belly does change mood
She might get behind
a piece of iron and two sticks
Cause she and she man
Sharing the same kind ah licks
She want a man she could treat like she pan
As she beat him he hold on to the rack
And doh beat she back

Collective and Individual
is it greater
to be immortalised
than to have lived
one for you
one for me
better to do
than be done
one for me
one for you
to have believed
than to see only you
one for me
one for you
to have dared
than regret
one for me
one for you
to have nothing
than to give all
one for me
one for you
to have made
than to have shared
one for me
one for you
to have been told
than to have chosen
one for me one for you

Home
He has walked the streets
through scorching sun
thirsting for more than is available
hungry with no money for food
drenched by relentless rains
with no time to shelter
cold in the winter-like loneliness
he has walked to home
humble home where not much awaits
but all that he has
added to his thoughts
they make him whole
in his journey to paradise.

Sun, Sea and Sand
Ocean blue
framed by
frothing foaming
white
fill the landscape
of my world
sky blue
on the horizon
peace lies
never to be attained
an ideal
in the sea sky dance
of blues and whites
no reflections
but like counterpoints
or something synergistic
independent yet
it all disappears
as I stand trapped
in the wide space
between the blues
and the whites
myself a shade
I know not
darkened by
the blazing sun
whose colour
is obfuscated
by its brilliance
I was once lighter
now blackened
like catfish
ready to be
served
in a sacrificial way
to those who eat fresh water fish
I stand in the seated sea
though washing off all that I can
my heart holds memories
that not even time
or the blazing sun
can diminish
I blue
sky blue
sea blue
blue black
black and blue
sun's colour
obfuscated by its brilliance
I wish the same for us
that the light blinds all
to our colour.

Escapism
It makes me wanna scream
or languish in a dream
escaping reality
while escaping a habit
like resisting the rhyme
or following time
man made verses come naturally
Why fight it to avoid
the voices that haunt, resonate
I've lost
that's why I dont fight
cause I'm never ever right
So round I go from here to there
and back again
Except I never know anything different
Asking myself if I can ever escape reality.

Slippery
If I knew what you wanted
I wouldn’t be so haunted
You make me wanna grow
And so I feel stunted
So less than you
Cause I see you as too much
A thing to hold on to
But nothing I can touch
I cant touch that
I cant touch that
I cant touch that
Slippery wily cat
If anything were mine
Id give to you
No longer saving it all
For the ones that’s true
I wouldn’t worry what came after
Cause id always be swinging from a rafter
Or maybe a chandelier
The point is though I just wouldn’t care
I cant touch that
I cant touch that
I cant touch that
Slippery wily cat
After the runner, the waiter and host
The angel eyed demon and the king of the toast
Not sure who that one was
cause he had no crown
Maybe I just mean
He was the toast of the town
Darkie came too or maybe by two
But none of them as precious as you
I cant touch that
I cant touch that
I cant touch that
Slippery wily cat
Now me accents changed and sound british
Maybe its Scottish or even Irish
I wont be surprised oh the places I’ve been
Some of them while walking
And others unseen
Now in song to say for this and every day
Someone comes along who makes me gay
A long days journey that ends with a knight
Still I cant cant cant
Touch touch that
Slippery slippery
Wily wily cat
More than a Cheshire
And less than is real
A smile, bright smile
A wink and a squeal
The cutest little thing
That gives the gayest little ring
To a serious song that I had to sing
Still I wont touch
Touch touch that
Slippery slippery
Wily wily cat
We’ve only just begun
But big is the fun
When cat and mouse play
When they both are away
So hear me when I say
Not just for today
You got me feeling funny
Straight face, laughing and gay
I wanna touch that
Touch that that
Slippery slippery
Wily little cat
I wouldn’t be so haunted
You make me wanna grow
And so I feel stunted
So less than you
Cause I see you as too much
A thing to hold on to

The hills
Golden stones on the eastern quarry
Black skin coursing through its passages
Like the oil that once filled those drums now pans
Who first cant be said
Some say Laventille
Out of pity or dread
To think of your history
As maroons in town
The irony perhaps only now seen
Or maybe it speaks of from whom they ran
And of you too since then one clan
A warriors haven to this day
It need fixin but what says you
In fineries to mine eye
And pride more than i
Laventille people dont make me cry
Houses stacked and built on each other
Like rick rack on poplin
The city’s zig zag border
At night from afar what do I see
A sequined, sprawling shimmering saree
Tribute without truth is pure mamguile
So no mention of your troubles
But you can ask me why
Cause you acting too like you fraid me
For another reason
Maybe you should be scared
With all that you have
Mornings spent on curbs
Nights too in boxers
Headties and stagnance
Comfortable or resigned
Trapped or defined
Who wants out who wont look back
To tenement love down forbidden tracks
That’s part of it too I imagine
Cause for Laventille is a love song
I writing
A love that travels through the eyes
With a shiver down my spine
And a settling by my thighs
Upper thigh that is
Red brick exposed
Galvanize fence
Guns and drugs keeping things lil tense
But in Laventille man and woman
old aunt and chile
does still make some of us smile a wicked smile
Black skin coursing through its passages
Like the oil that once filled those drums now pans
Who first cant be said
Some say Laventille

Victory is not mine
Winners don’t speak
They are spoken of
Losers pitied
If she wins
They win
I speak of them before the contest
And they too may speak of me
But not to me
Unless to make me like them
If he wins
They lose
And so does she
And still
Nothing in it for me
As mediator
I have no heart
I feel nothing
Just play the part
Held not lovingly
Between two sides
By forces united
By differences wide
No mention of it
None needed
Youre in this position
As among the top seeded
Much is at stake
As it all burns
Passions
Manifestos
And lessons learned
It all means nothing
Much ado as always
The Indians, Africans
Now sycophants gays
Cause its not about ideas
But blindness and fears
You’ve lived it for years
And not one of them cares
So don’t waste your tears
And leave without shares
In 37, 41 like the plural of deer
Its the same but different.

Veiled
We saw you
We saw them
It came to a point
Not out of anything
But sheer determination
Hate in the form of envy
Is impotent.
Reflecting on you now
I remember reflecting you
When you stood saying nothing
While you heard all said
Me not knowing
Such the nature of power
Something to make me look good
Highlights, low lights
To take off the glare
Not powder, naturally
Maybe we need to make up
We saw them
It came to a point
Not out of anything
But sheer determination
Hate in the form of envy
Is impotent.
Reflecting on you now

Strange Fruit
She crossed my path
And now my mind
Statuesque and stately
Feline
The crowned in a bevy
That was more
Than beautiful women.
Have I taken my time
To say
Tried to find a way
To make not any feel small
You queen, towering above
So many who came before.
The red or the white?
Hold my corner
Or next to as knight
Charming prince done
Bowled over
You say Rex, Dusty or Rover.
I make you laugh
Is ting to cry
The gentry, the pantry
The palatial regalia
Today’s mistakes
Live sometimes forever.
For you I hope for more
No hey nonny nonny
On sea and unsure
No complexities
In years to come
But the kind of
Magic and din sum.
Silly yes, even I would say
But strange fruit
Like Tangerines, mandarins, portugals
and clementines
Sometimes have a way
As difference and likeness
Doth sway to and fro
Like sweet and tart
As we know in the same grow.
And now my mind
Statuesque and stately
Feline
The crowned in a bevy
That was more
Than beautiful women.
Have I taken my time
To say
Tried to find a way
To make not any feel small
You queen, towering above
So many who came before.

Hold my corner
Or next to as knight
Charming prince done
Bowled over
You say Rex, Dusty or Rover.
I make you laugh
Is ting to cry
The gentry, the pantry
The palatial regalia
Today’s mistakes
Live sometimes forever.
For you I hope for more
No hey nonny nonny
On sea and unsure
No complexities
In years to come
But the kind of
Magic and din sum.
Silly yes, even I would say
But strange fruit
Like Tangerines, mandarins, portugals
and clementines
Sometimes have a way
As difference and likeness
Doth sway to and fro
Like sweet and tart
As we know in the same grow.
Of the Arena
Jerry and co again I blaspheme
As I double up and do my best cream
Yet still I strive
Watching I thrive
Medusa wasn’t my crony
But oh how I feel stoney
Without head and follicles dead
Each strand an idea
Connecting me to somewhere
I am yet to be
Rooted I remain
Dreaming not for gain
But for lack of option
And companion
Id rather be making love he said
And in the moment it sounded dread
But of the Republic I have not read
But of Narcissus and Andromeda instead
Myth and life now do twine
Escaping reality and dodging signs
My destiny though it seems sealed
Like a popular song wheeled and wheeled
No course but to face that wall
No matter how I do try and stall
Is courage needed or just a fall
The question is do I answer your call
Feisty fazers of politics make
Alcohol, laughter and a piece of cake
The party goes on with or without
As I get sweetened on its silent clout
United we stand divided us all
Winners scream while losers bawl
As I double up and do my best cream
Yet still I strive
Watching I thrive
Medusa wasn’t my crony
But oh how I feel stoney
Without head and follicles dead

Cyclops Cycle
Here I go again
Asking
Is it wrong
No nothing's wrong
Until said to be
After the fact
After the truth
The traitor of doubt
Eating at me
No chemo
No psycho
No hydro
Nothing to cleanse me
Of my thoughts
My actions
Why did we meet
Who the hell are you
Why aren’t I someone else
I want no one
I want not to be myself
The thought of you
Makes whole
But who are you
What do I need to know
Is anything worth knowing
If after the fact
The truth, I feel
Nothing can cleanse me
Dirty, still
There I go again
Saying
It is right
Nothing is right
Even if I say it is
Not before the fact
There is no truth
Truth acts as friend
Fooling me
No hunger
No interest
Nothing matters
Nothing to make me stop
To cleanse me of you
My dreams
Was it you that I met
Even before I know you
You turn out to be someone else
You make me want to change
I want you
Can I want no one else
Teach me about me
Tell my truths
I cant see or feel anything
The real is no more
Was it ever real
If after the feelings
The truth was illusion
Wishing to be pure
Still dirty
I am alone
But am I lost
Where are you
Without you
You are all I want
With you I am not me
And what I want
Is not mine
Or what I wanted
I’ve done it again
I’m trying to stop doing it
With you
I’m trying to stop doing it with you
With you I hope to have stopped doing it
It does not become me
It has become me
And I am trying to stop doing it
With you
With you im trying to stop
Doing it

Anatomy of selfish love
How long at navel
Before heading south
How long with hand
Before mouth
Then round a little bend
Where a beginning finds an end
Then up to the small of the back
Where retreat begins and too attack
Walls feel hard enough to climb
The love and the war carnal and sublime
Then pass the spine take a sip of the wine
It goes to the head where did it all start
Through eyes registered something on the heart
Where does it all lead
What climax worth having
Whilst taunting and teasing your mind not knowing
what will be felt when its all over
Feelings were heightened and never did falter
No phone call next day
Or any day after
What of that night and when did it end?
Before heading south
How long with hand
Before mouth
Then round a little bend
Where a beginning finds an end
Then up to the small of the back
Where retreat begins and too attack
Walls feel hard enough to climb
The love and the war carnal and sublime
Then pass the spine take a sip of the wine

a miracle a day
The miracle of conception gets mired in life
Mirrored it is dull,
An opaque journey it is
Obscured by all it has birthed
All thought for nought
When feeling without the miracle
Needed to see beyond the concepts
Many speak of it as illusion
Like ghosts and spirits
Was I deceived
Without understanding
Wondering if I can believe
In miracles
If I cursed id say…
And I say this as a curse
Maybe I am cursed
Maybe I am blessed
One day to know
Oh but everyday a miracle
And nine billion altogether
A tear wells up…
Mirrored it is dull,
An opaque journey it is
Obscured by all it has birthed
All thought for nought
When feeling without the miracle
Needed to see beyond the concepts
Many speak of it as illusion
Like ghosts and spirits
Was I deceived

Poetry is life. Life is a poem.
The trumpet of life
blears in my ear.
Symbolism.
But I can't hear it.
Like that bird he wrote of,
la, la, la.
But I cant't hear it
Digging deeper, deeper.
Coming up with...?
I still cant' hear it.
the essence of life?
Quite simply...
blears in my ear.
Symbolism.
But I can't hear it.
Like that bird he wrote of,
la, la, la.
But I cant't hear it
Digging deeper, deeper.
Coming up with...?
I still cant' hear it.

Just Like the Toadstool
So there was the mould
and there was the means
and when the time was right
snd right may be wrong
the young would sprout
and grow
and spread
the generation being formed
fashioned.
The circle is growing bigger
expanding
But not the idea.
The same closed circle.
The same closed minds.
and there was the means
and when the time was right
snd right may be wrong
the young would sprout
and grow
and spread
the generation being formed
fashioned.
The circle is growing bigger
expanding
But not the idea.
The same closed circle.
The same closed minds.

Tarantula
...I'd felt the tarantula
walking down my hand.
In numb horror
I looked as it intertwined with my fingers
I blinked
Opening my eyes, I realise
It's your hand in mine.
But you're my friend,
And you would never hurt me.
walking down my hand.

Fighting
Sometimes,
I feel I am really no good at this.
Writing.
Wrestling, wrangling with words.
To paint that pretty picture,
or to bowl that bitter ball,
straight to your boundary.
And my nerves will rattle.
And I'll feel a shaking I know you don'e feel.
I know to fight though.
And I'll write to the end.
I feel I am really no good at this.

metropolove
as bleak and scary
as a subway train covered in graffiti
your love did cover me
expressions of artists
too long suppressed
Coming Out
Struggling desperately
with the lock and keys to my door
as someone approaches.
I know everything will be okay
once I'm on the other side.

Bad Girl Heather asks
have you ever been on it
just to be on it?
For the sake of enjoying it?
For all it's worth
All the pleasure, all the pain?
Been on it hard, wanting all it had to offer
You ride it long with no regret
and so come to it, time after time
and succumb to it time after time
and so come to succumb to suck cum
and suck cum and suck cum?
Blow. Blow.
just to be on it?
For the sake of enjoying it?
For all it's worth
All the pleasure, all the pain?
Been on it hard, wanting all it had to offer
You ride it long with no regret
and so come to it, time after time
and succumb to it time after time
and so come to succumb to suck cum
and suck cum and suck cum?

Mornings after in New York
And as the train smelt of aftershave
and fresh hairspray and underarm deodarant
and newsprint and just applied lipstick
and nylons and shoe polish
and all sorts of perfumes
I smelt of cigarettes and beer and other liquors
and stale cologne and semen
probably contracted while leaning on a wall somewhere.

Galvanize
Im in a galvanize house
And the rain is pounding
A sign to stay inside
Or am I being hounded
Poor me you say
In this house of steel
I not sure what to feel
The dirt on the ground
And the air around me
Cool and moist
Yet still I worry
What's going on
When will it end
Will they know I'm here
And help send
I can't see the lightning
But I know its flashing
I never see the thunder
But I hear it rolling
Like water down its sides
Of this tin made thing
Keeping me inside
And me keeping within
Maybe go outside and dance
Myself into a trance
To forget my steel casing
And the thoughts that keep racing
Like droplets down its side
In which I'm protected
In which I hide
Dance a dance of thanks
Or a dance of freedom
While rain drums down
That and its rivulets
The only real sound
It smells and tells
That ohhh this house
Is my skin
I can't escape
I am bound by it
The rain and all else
The things of others
The droplets my tears
I shake and I shudder
The cold is my state
The ground all below me
The storm is my life
This an admission
Of being lonely
The tempest is here
It rages around me
Encircles, isolates
No end to this battery
Now truth washes out
Like treasures unearthed
By days of rain
On bare loose dirt
Hard as steel
This house
And the rain is pounding
A sign to stay inside
Or am I being hounded
Poor me you say

Treat
Away from the streets
highways and courses
that take to and fro
from here to there
up in the hills
amongst trees and birds
my mind more still
poetic framing of chaos.
Escaped to a place
left behind all that awaits
and what of those with me
they too framed poetically
not the ruddy lot
of parking lots and alleways
they now blend with the silent
trees of the forest
beneath the canopy of which
life goes on.

And 1
And 2 and 3 and four
Jete! Plie!
Four players to a side
You shirts you skins
Its called four a side
Come on!
Yo your game is weak!

My momma plays better than you!
Oh Shit! Did you just say...

Four a side
You shirts you skins
Jete! Plie!

Softer please softer
As if performing for Ranier
No not of Jordan of Monaco
Now lets go!
And 1
And 2 and 3
Shirts and Skins
Again

History
a soldier was born
and one was killed
a car was bought
and one crashed
a virgin was deflowered
a voyeur smiled
a rumour was born
and a character destroyed
a shoe was bought
and a soul worn through
an eye was winked
and two were shut
a party just started
solitude became obscure
vows were taken
a man beat his wife
(the children saw)
the eldest son decided to leave home
he joined the army
a soldier was born
and one was killed
a car was bought

Compromise
I swear,
sometimes I wish,
sometimes I wish so hard
that I can see.
That I can see it.
That I can just see it
from behind your eyes.
That's when I realise,
that's when it hits me,
that you're someone else.
sometimes I wish,
sometimes I wish so hard
that I can see.
That I can see it.
That I can just see it
from behind your eyes.
That's when I realise,
that's when it hits me,
that you're someone else.
Prenup
I dont need you to damage my integrity
I dont need you to tell me what's wrong with me
I dont need you to tell me you don't care
I dont need you if you dont plan to be here
I dont need any part of your name
And I dont need any part of this game.
I dont need you to tell me what's wrong with me
I dont need you to tell me you don't care
I dont need you if you dont plan to be here
I dont need any part of your name
And I dont need any part of this game.
Boy Blue
Because some us dont get it
We do things out of honour
We do things out of joy.
Dont bother with a lover
who will treat you like a toy.
Not all things rhyme
Not all things are true
But within every man
Lies a little boy blue.
Is vex he vex!
We do things out of honour
We do things out of joy.
Dont bother with a lover
who will treat you like a toy.
Not all things rhyme
Not all things are true
But within every man
Lies a little boy blue.
Is vex he vex!
Still
When you're loved by all
except for one
And all assume you're having fun
You hide your life
You shun the sun
You're scared by all
the wrong they've done.
Fear becomes your last resort
A helpless emotional
human retort
Some helpless, emotional
human retort
You're beautiful
Still beautiful.
except for one
And all assume you're having fun
You hide your life
You shun the sun
You're scared by all
the wrong they've done.
Fear becomes your last resort
A helpless emotional

Killin' It
I wish
I wish I knew what you liked
Not so that I could be it
But so I could kill it!
Not like that
I mean be it,
Be it so good
I killed it
You know?
I wish
I wish I knew who you liked
Liked before
Not so that I could be them
But so I could kill them
Yeah dead
Especially if you wanted me to
I'd kill for you.
I wish I knew what you wanted
Cause I don't want to be a killer.
But you could die too
Die laughing
Die happy
Die in my arms
After three days, maybe.
Heaven sent,
From whence beauty comes.
Making death beautiful,
Off to a better place
They always say.
I wish I knew what you liked
Not so that I could be it
But so I could kill it!
Not like that
I mean be it,
Be it so good
I killed it
You know?
I wish

Puzzled
To be more like you
As we try to fit pieces
Into our lives
Confused and puzzled
By attraction
Not fitting
Other pieces
Already in place
Music plays desire stays
To have it all fit
To construct we deconstruct
Each, the other breaking down
As we attempt to build
To piece together
There is no peace
Perplexed perpetually
We walk away to return
Picking up the pieces
Having forgotten failed attempts
Or in the belief that it must
It speaks of faith
Questions about mistakes
Flaws in design not by design
Architects of a picture
Taking time to piece together
A puzzle to make sense
Of the pieces they say
Are all meant to fit together
As we try to fit pieces
Into our lives
Confused and puzzled
By attraction
Not fitting
Other pieces
Already in place
Music plays desire stays
